A Description of The Companions

Imaam as-Shafi’ee rahimahullaah said about the companions of Muhammad (pbuh) in his book ‘ar-Risaala’ :

“They are superior to us in all knowledges, and intellect, and in the religion, and in excellence, And [they are] all the reasons through which Knowledge is attained through, or through which guidance is achieved through, And their opinions [choices] for us , are better than our own opinions for ourselves.”
